Gordon will soon make his decision on whether he'll play with the Bulls this season or move on to greener pastures (Ugh.) I would hate to see him on another team, but then the previous seasons for him have been lackluster. I'm not even gonna talk about last season.

The Heat Are Playing Games
Miami accordingly is gonna ignore/trade the no. 2 pick and look for a point guard, and I'm sure they don't want any Bulls players. They must be joking if they want Hinrich* (and Duhon). Must be somebody from the draft. Right?
*He's a Wade stopper! Just saying.

The Bull Sheet 2: Charging back?
It's been almost 6 months since I wrote the first ever Bull Sheet here at Bulls.for.the.win and for some reasons, that has been my first and last post over at that blog. Well what can you say? It was a disaster.. a holocaust.. last season was disgusting for the Bulls and their fans. The Coaching Changes, Ben Wallace.. LARRY FREAKIN' HUGHES!! Nocioni's injuries and last but not the least, their core of Gordon, Deng and Hinrich didn't live up to their expectations.
But that season is over, and we, the hopeful Bulls fans are again looking for a brand new start next season.
Maybe winning the draft lottery is a start.
But then again, that's another dilemma for John Paxson. Right in front of him is a physically gifted point guard who can be a perfect replacement for a slumping Kirk Hinrich, who had his worst season last year scoring wise and shooting wise. Should they opt to pick Derrick Rose, they will have an option of breaking up their back court of Hinrich and Gordon.
Or they could either go for Michael Beasley, a very explosive scorer who can play both forward position and can provide the inside scoring woes for the Bulls. Question is, how would he break into the Bulls rotation? Right now, they have Deng, Noc and Chicago's last draft picks in Noah and Thomas.
Either way, both will be good acquisitions for the Bulls. However, both picks demand big risks.. the question is how would Bulls GM John Paxson respond to the risk it calls for drafting the number 1 pick and how he'll give space to their rotation to whoever they draft.
If I were to be asked, I'd opt to draft Michael Beasley and give more time to the Gordon-Hinrich backcourt tandem. Sure, their tandem didn't work out, but they were in the midst of a bedlam... the Kobe rumors, the high expectations and the coaching changes. Maybe giving one more year to this tandem will do wonders for them.
Plus, should Beasley be in the mix, this will allow Jim Boylan to pull Nocioni to his comfortable position again, off the bench with Deng being the starting small forward again for the Bulls. And now, they'll have the luxury of putting either Thomas or Noah on the trading block, along side Duhon, to get a reliable post up threat and a veteran back up point guard for Kirk Hinrich. That would also be a good idea.
With that being said, their projected line up for next year would be, Gooden, Beasley and Deng manning up their starting front line and Hughes and Hinrich to start in the back court. Again, Ben Gordon would come off the bench along side Nocioni, plus Tyrus or Joachim and this line up could be on their way to another Playoff run.
The decisions that John Paxson would be making come draft time and the off season would be critical for the Bulls. Let's just hope for the best and another playoff charge for Chicago.

Detroit @ Bulls Post-game Thoughts, Duhon's Injury, and Thabo's Re-emergence (!)
Well its -20 degrees outside and I refuse to go anywhere and freeze my ass.
I wish the Bulls could just play Detroit and Miami all season long. After getting stomped by Golden State in yesterday's game, which should have been a win, they proved again that they're as consistent as Aaron Gray's post moves. I don't know if that made sense at all. In their last couple of games they shot the ball very well, which worked against Miami, but not so much with Golden State. I think it just means that offense really isn't important, as long as they are frustrating the opposing team with their defense and hustle.
Duhon's knee injury looked bad, but dare I say this - I hope it would be a blessing in disguise for the team, especially for Sefolosha, who is playing exceptionally well, and looks to be regaining his confidence. He had a whopping +22 in the game, which is good enough to be a hint for Boylan to start him more often than Duhon. Also, I liked the lineup that they used in the 4th quarter where they had Noah and Sefolosha. I would like to see them try that again with Luol Deng in the mix, because their length could be the solution to their poor defensive efforts this season.

(SAC@CHI) Preview
Alright, no updates since last year, and having the flu on a gloomy Saturday morning. What better way to start the day than to post on this site...
Since Jim Boylan took over, Bulls are 3-2(should've been 5-0), 0-2 in overtime games, and Gordon is benched. I don't see a big difference between Skiles and Boylan, but the latter is trying to implement a running style similar, but not exactly, to the one in Phoenix, except they have Wallace and Hinrich instead of Stoudemire and Nash. I once heard someone saying Kirk could be the next Steve Nash, and that was eons ago when they were battling the Heat in 2006. I guess that's okay, but they need Wallace to make his lay-ups and tip-ins, or even better just dunk the damn ball if they want their transition game to flourish as good as the Suns. That may be asking too much from Wallace, since he's been working on his FTs lately. You know just in case they want a throwback of that epic performance against Miami where he went 7 of 8. Speaking of free throws, by the way, Gordon and Hinrich are respectively #2 and #3. Well that completes this edition of mindless stat-throwing.
Tonight's game is against the Kings without two of their starters (Artest and Martin), not to mention Mike Bibby who is possibly done for the season. They are led by John Salmons, who's averaging a career best 16.9 points, and more than doubled his average of 6.7 ppg. Deng is also out, so that means more Griffin minutes. Yikes.
